FELLOWSHIP IN PALLIATIVE CARE
The Fellowship in Palliative Care is a comprehensive international program offered through a partnership between the WHO Collaborating Centre at the Institute of Palliative Medicine in India, St. Christopher’s Hospice in London, the Sanjeevan Palliative Care Project in Pondicherry, and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Bangladesh.

This six-month online course, spanning 240 hours, aims to address the global shortage of leadership in palliative care by providing high-quality, accessible, and affordable training, specifically designed for participants from low- and middleincome countries.

  • Course Fee:  The subsidized fee for the course is INR 12,000 (US$150), payable upon receiving the selection letter.

Evaluation and Certification


The evaluation of participants will be based on the following criteria:

  • 1. Online presentations
  • 2. Quality of contributions to discussion forums
  • 3. Submission of assignments
  • 4. Participation in interactivesessions and group activities
  • A minimum score of 50% is required to qualify for the completion certificate. The certificate will be jointly issued by the four organizing institutions upon successful completion of the program.


    Important Dates

      Applications must be submitted by December 23, 2024. Selection notifications will be sent by December 31, 2024, and selected candidates must remit their fees by January 15, 2025, to confirm their place in the program.
